On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the children of the Club Zamba at the secondary school ITA Yangambi enjoyed an exciting and educational activity—assembling puzzles designed to teach them about local biodiversity.

The puzzles were divided into five categories: Mammals, Reptiles, Fish, Insects (Caterpillars), and Wild Fruits from the Yangambi landscape. Each puzzle was uniquely created to link the local name with its French name, scientific name, and a corresponding image. This hands-on approach helped the children learn the scientific names of animals and fruits native to their own forest environment.

The Club Zamba warmly thanks Dr. Nathalie Van Vliet, Senior Researcher at CIFOR, for designing these educational puzzles and supporting their learning journey.

The Clubs Zamba are financially supported by the European Union through the FORETS project led by CIFOR in the Yangambi landscape and implemented by the NGO Solutions for Wildlife (SO WILD).
